§ »The Pacific Sustainability Index (PSI) is a system developed at the Roberts Environmental Center to score environmental and social disclosure and performance presented by companies on their web sites. It is based on a combination of existing reporting guidance documents and certification materials and covers 140 topics. There are an additional 9 categorical variables that we assign a score to as a means of tracking company adherence with various reporting guidelines.«
§ »We use Fortune Magazine's Global 500 and Fortune 1000 lists to choose companies for our published sector reports. Since 2004 we have been systematically working our way through these two lists, sector by sector. Once we have completed scoring all the reports in both lists we publish a report. Prior to that, we display our ongoing sector results in online graphs.«
