o        Under the US$1.36 million project, UNDP will work with enterprises and other stakeholders in eight countries - EU members Bulgaria, Hungary, Lithuania, Poland and Slovak Republic, as well as in candidate countries Croatia, Macedonia, and Turkey.

·         Recently, the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) launched a project on the “Development of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) in Central and Eastern Europe”, a regional programme, which aims at disseminating the concept of CSR and implementation practices throughout the CEE Region (focusing on small and medium sized enterprises) and forging a regional network of public and private partner institutions that will support SMEs to adopt CSR practices. This activity forms part of a series of conferences conducted in the region. Similar events will take place in Bosnia and Herzegovina and Romania.
