The NFRCSR Resource Centre houses a wealth of fully informative and direct links on the subject of stand-alone (separate, autonomous, free-standing, self-standing) reporting of organisations (with emphasis on business sector, though covering public agencies and non-profits also) on their environmental, sustainability, and social aspects of activity to their stakeholders.

Other closely related or broader topics are covered as well, e.g. corporate social responsibility (CSR), corporate governance, socially responsible investing (SRI), sustainable business, environmental and social accounting, etc.

Website was launched in October 2005. It is updated continually since then.

Its author is Jernej Zavrl (born in 1972, dipl. oec., independent consultant) from Kranj, Slovenia, Europe.

He is operating this site voluntarily and independently.

The site is a by-product of his work as a sustainability and knowledge management consultant.

Some notes:

The title "non-financial" reporting is used as an umbrella term to encompass a large group of different types of standalone reporting on environmental and social aspects of organisational activity. These non-financial reports are usually referred to as:

environmental reports,

sustainability reports,

triple bottom line (TBL) reports,

environment, health and safety (EH&S) reports,

environmental, social and governance (ESG) reports,

corporate responsibility (CR) reports,

corporate social responsibility (CSR) reports,

corporate citizenship reports,

The main reason that the term "non-financial" is used in the title of this Web site and elsewhere on this site is therefore to distinguish these types of reporting from the traditional annual financial reporting.
