The NFRCSR Resource Centre houses a wealth of fully informative and direct links on the subject of stand-alone reporting (sustainability reporting, CSR reporting) of organisations (with emphasis on business sector, though covering public agencies and non-profits also) on their environmental, sustainability, and social aspects of activity to their stakeholders.

Other closely related or broader topics are covered as well, e.g. corporate social responsibility (CSR), corporate governance, socially responsible investing (SRI), sustainable business, environmental and social accounting, integrated reporting, etc.

Most of the listed resources are accessible for free (no subscription).

This website was launched in October 2005. It is updated continually since then.

Its author is Jernej Zavrl from Kranj, Slovenia (more tourist info & pictures here), Europe.

Some notes:

The title "non-financial" reporting is used as an umbrella term to encompass a large group of different types of standalone reporting on environmental and social aspects of organisational activity. These non-financial reports are usually referred to as:

    environmental reports,

    sustainability reports,

    triple bottom line (TBL) reports,

    environment, health and safety (EH&S) reports,

    environmental, social and governance (ESG) reports,

    corporate responsibility (CR) reports,

    corporate social responsibility (CSR) reports,

    corporate citizenship reports,

    stakeholder engagement reports,

    social reports,

    personnel reports,

    community reports,

    intellectual capital reports,

    extra-financial reports,

    etc.

The main reason that the term "non-financial" is used in the title of this Web site and elsewhere on this site is therefore to distinguish these types of reporting from the traditional annual financial reporting.

Throughout the NFRCSR site these abbreviations are used:

e.g. = exempli gratia = for example

i.e. = id est = that is

etc. = et cetera = and the rest, and others, and so on, and more

pp. = pages

.pdf = Invented by Adobe, Portable Document Format (I use lower case and do not write it as PDF)

When linking or otherwise referring to this site please use acronym NFRCSR (or nfrcsr) and not NFR CSR.
